DC118 (Diecast Cars 118) |
1:18 Autoart Signature Lexus LFA.
From the Autoart Signature Series, I present to you the 1:18 scale replica of the Lexus LFA in Whitest White. The model is a very good model and in white, now it is extremely rare.
This model has many good things about it. The model has an adjustable rear spoiler like the real car. This feature is very well replicated. The spoiler is adjustable like the real car. On the real car, the spoiler also helps to act as an air brake. The model’s spoiler is able to move into the same position as the real car. There are also many little details on the model that are well replicated from the real car. Such as the “F” on the side of the car, the key hole on the door to open it manually and the reverse sensor on the rear. The interior of this model is very well replicated. The one piece aluminum pedals are there and correctly done. The navigation controls along with the digital speedometer are shown clearly. Of course with almost all Autoart models the interior is carpeted. Both the front and rear lights are well done, the chromed tri-exhaust is superb. The brakes and brake discs are great. The white paint is very nicely done.
However, this model has its flaws. For an Autoart signature model, the engine detail should be superb, however on the LFA, the engine lacks depth and detail resulting in a poor looking engine bay. Also the hinges that support the engine cover struggle to stay up. I don’t know if this problem is universal to all of the LFA’s or just mine, but its still a flaw. Another part that struggles to stay up is the spoiler/ air brake. The problem occurs when the spoiler is placed in its air brake position. It struggles to stay there. Whats worse is that the plastic cover that is meant to hold up the storage area, cannot not even stay upright! When i had first bought the model i thought it was a flaw that was unique to mine only, but i soon discovered that all the LFA’s by Autoart have this problem.
In conclusion I state that although this model has its flaws it is still a very good model from Autoart. Another reason to buy it is the rarity of the colour white.
