1:18 Kyosho BMW 750Li
The Kyosho series of BMW’s is usual a very good choice when purchasing a Kyosho. The BMW 750Li in a beautiful shade of navy blue that has been replicated perfectly from the navy blue as seen on the roads. The model lacks the usual flaw of Kyosho’s ; the bubbling paint issue. This is an extremely good thing.
The front and rear lights show a very good quality of workmanship because there are many LED’s around the lights which are shown clearly. The engine is also quite good, it has many small warning stickers around the engine bay as per the real car. The engine itself is not bad but could do with more depth. But Kyosho compensates the lack of depth with the small stickers and other small details such as the BMW wording on the engine cover. The interior is very good like almost all Kyosho’s. It is carpeted. A tiny feature that really stands out when you first open up the doors in that there is a little metallic strip on the bottom of the doorframe. It says BMW on it. This is a very nice touch by Kyosho as it really helps to make the car look good. The interior’s buttons and screens are shown clearly. This helps the model’s interior look very real. Moving to the rear section of this model’s interior. The central armrest on most other model would remain static. However, on this model the armrest is able to move back in to the seat area. It is a very cool feature i find unique to only a handful of models. One very detailed part of this model is the little “door unlocked” stub that is a common site with BMW’s. This is located at the end of the inside of all 4 doors. This feature is incredibly small and you would not notice it at first. This is a great example of workmanship from Kyosho. The rims are also very good. However, the exhausts are better. Looking into each of the chromed surround, I can see 2 tailpipes from each hidden inside. This is a perfect replica of what the real car. Stunning indeed. Moving above, to the boot or trunk, we see that the proper locking mechanism is in place. Not functioning but shown clearly. Also shown is the break down kit which once again, is a nice touch.
However, this model has some drawbacks. The vents in the front are not cut out and the brakes and brake discs are not that good. However, the model is still very good and i highly recommend it. It is by far, after the Kyosho Rolls Royce Ghost, one of the best Kyosho's that i currently own.
